In today's article, we're going to show you how to do a very simple dip manicure with gel polish. For those who suffer from dip flu, this is a great alternative to do dip on your nails. Watch until the end of the video to find out how to do this fun and easy to do gel nail method!

For this tutorial, you’ll be needing:

694 - Fairy Green

No-wipe Gel Top Coat

 

Buffing Block

Fluffy Nail Brush

 

Double Dip Cuticle Nourishing Oil

 

Professional Grade Cuticle Pusher

 

UV LED Lamp

 

 

Let’s start!

Before anything else, always remember to properly prepped your natural nails and place some full cover nail tips, short gel tips would suffice.

Start by buffing the surface of your nail tips to remove all the shine.

Then taking a lint-free wipe with some alcohol on it, removed all the dust on your nails.

After everything is prepped, apply the No-wipe Gel Top coat onto your nails.

Apply this over your entire nail.

Make sure not to flood your cuticles or sidewall areas.

Then before curing your nail, take the cuticle pusher and sprinkle over the dip powder onto the wet gel.

The dip powder will stick wherever you place the Gel Top Coat. 

Then cure under the UV LED Lamp.

Once the nail is cured, take the fluffy nail brush and dust away the excess dip powder.

Do a second layer of the Dip Powder.

Do the exact same steps above.

PRO TIP: After pouring the Dip Powder over your wet nail, please don’t tap the powder or your nail, just slightly tilt your finger to remove the excess powder and then cure under the UV LED Lamp.

Once the second layer is cured, dust away the excess Dip powder.

Do the same steps to the rest of your nails.

Important notes

• You can do as few, or as many layers of Dip Powder as you would like. In this tutorial, the nail artist is just doing 2 layers of Dip Color. 

• If you get any gel on your skin, make sure to remove it before pouring the Dip Powder over your nails.

After all of the layers of Dip Powder are cured, carefully dust away the excess Dip powder.

Next, take your small buffer and buff the surface of your nails.

Important notes

• Since this is a different method of application, you don’t need to apply Activator to harden your nails. 

• The Gel is cured under the UV LED Lamp, which does harden the layers of Dip Powder. 

Define the shape of your nails using the buffer.

Once all of your nails are buffed, make sure to remove all the dust using the nail brush.

Grab the No-wipe Gel Top Coat and apply another layer to all of your nails.

This No-wipe Gel Top Coat is a must-have! It has an amazing consistency and it gives off a beautiful shine that everyone loves about! 

After you cure your nails, you don’t need to remove any sticky layer from your nails.

 

Important notes

• After the Gel Top Coat is applied to all of your nails, you can turn your hands upside down for a few seconds before curing.

• This will level out your Gel, and give you a very smooth surface.

PRO TIP: Flip your hand over first before curing your nails.

Then, cure your nails under the UV LED Lamp for 60 seconds.

After that, take Double Dip’s Cuticle Nourishing Oil and apply this to all of your cuticles. 

This Cuticle Nourishing Oil smells heavenly and it does provide nourishment for your cuticles. Proven by many!

A tip: You can give your cuticles a quick gentle massage! This helps absorb the Nourishing Oil onto your cuticles.

And you’re finally done!
