Letās start!
Today we will be using the following:
Ā
No Wipe Top Coat Gel
Two Chrome Powders of your choiceĀ
Ā
Professional GEL Nail UV Lamp SUN X5 MAX 150W
And, Acetone
Important note: Before we begin, if youāre doing this on your real nails make sure they are properly prepped before moving on to the next step.
Do you wanna know HOW TO properly prepped your nails? Read hereĀ or Watch it here.
Once your nails are well prepped and ready, apply a thin layer of black gel polish onto your entire nail.
Take your UV LED Lamp and cure this for 60 seconds.Ā
Add one extra coat of black gel polish onto the previous one.
Tip: Remember to apply it in thin, even strokes as we donāt want any smudged or uneven nails.
After that, cure it for another 60 seconds.
Apply a layer of Gel Top Coat onto your nail. Depending on your UV LED Lamp, you may cure for either 30 or 60 seconds.
If your nail is too wet or too dry, your chrome may not stick properly.
In this tutorial, we cured for about 60 seconds in our SUN UV Lamp.
In this tutorial, we used a pretty Pink Chrome Powder and a gorgeous Gold Chrome Powder.Ā
In this step, you can just take either an eyeshadow brush, a makeup sponge or even your bare finger to rub the chrome colors onto your nail.
With a disposable eyeshadow brush, dip it into your Chrome of choice and rub onto your nail.
Here, we want to mix our Chromes to create a sort of Rose Gold color. But you can create many different types of designs with Chrome. This is just one fun way you can make use of your different colored powders.
Important notes:
To properly blend your colors, itās recommended that the first layer should be rubbed onto different parts of your nail.
As so, when we dub the next layer of another color it will be well blended into each other.
We can alternate between the two powders until satisfied with the result.
This step takes time but itās oddly satisfying!
This is no doubt the best part of doing your nails at home, which two colors do you think we should mix next?
Next we will be using a fine-tipped brush to create lines onto the nails. Using our Gel Top Coat, we are making fine strokes at the tip.Ā
This step requires great concentration and absolute precision. So be careful with your lines as it will get hard for us to fix this afterwards.Ā
Holding your breath for a few minutes for better focus is recommended. Just kidding! LOL.
This is truly one of our most favorite nail designs when it comes to the summer theme. Not only is it easy to recreate at home but also itās a theme that never gets too outdated or boring!
Now, just gently rub your nails in one direction with a tissue dipped in acetone. Remember not to rub the tissue back and forth too many times as it will clean off the color and get messy with the Chrome applied earlier.
When done you can turn over the tissue and gently clean it in the same direction again.Ā
And thatās it!
Yay or Nay?Ā
